After the recent success of Albania’s UNUM Festival, more European countries are gearing up for the long overdue return of parties and events. One such party is Festival In The Nature. The Bulgarian festival like many had to cancel any plans they had for 2020. Yet here we are another year on. COVID in the country is thankfully very low and that means techno and Mother Earth can meet once again.
Taking place in Barite, Maglizh, Festival In The Nature promises “a mystical place at the foot of the mountain, where beautiful music, art and nature combine, to give you the climax of pure happiness.” One couldn’t ask for much more. A blend of escape, healing and grooving in the most idyllic of settings.
Previous years have featured a strong Romanian contingency alongside Bulgarian locals. Raresh is heading up this one. He’s on a roll at the minute after playing UNUM, a double takeover with Ricardo Villalobos at Club Space, Miami, and more recently, the Tanzania edition of Sunwaves.
Raresh crosses country to play alongside leading lady of deep, minimal grooves tINI. Cally, Gescu and Kozo bring the Rominimal heat. Of course, festival favourites and residents return in reinforcement. It’s a tight lineup, complimenting the magical vibes that the outdoors brings with it.
The festival takes place from Friday 16th July to Sunday 18th July and the site offers camping spots for those wanting to sleep under the stars. A deep love and respect for the nature that surrounds it is evident, not least from the name. For anyone who can make it to the foot of the mountain, this is a well worthy fixture in the calendar.
Tickets are available here, on the final release. It is also possible to pick up a discounted ticket between 22nd June – 1st July, for anyone crate-digging at TABA Record Store.
