Farringdon venue fabric has, since it opened its doors been a home to all corners of the electronic music world. Another pillar of the fabric ethos is open ended weekends and giving their guests the room to perform to their fullest. With this in mind they have gone back to their roots with their new 24+ hour event ‘Continuum’. With the club having a recent make over too the prospect of an extended stay at fabric is positively mouthwatering.
fabric’s Creative Director Jorge Neito says of the return to 24, “Back in the day fabric used to do [24-hour parties] and the idea now is to bring it back in, to be able to cater for completely different crowds. It presents a lot of opportunities that you wouldn’t have on a regular night. It gives the opportunity to bring up-and-coming or mid-range artists and put them in-between heavyweight acts so they get the exposure they wouldn’t get on a normal night. I think that’s one of the most interesting things about doing 24-hour events.”
Taking the full spectrum approach but with a techno twist for their launch party Continuum will kick off on Saturday, November 20th and the rooms won’t fall silent Sunday at some point. Over the course of the weekend genuine heavy hitters such as Dave Clarke, Anastasia Kristensen, Tommy Four Seven, Rebekah, Neon Chambers (live), François X, Blawan, Varg2™ (live), Tasha, Dr Rubinstein and there will be even more artists announced for this massive first party.
With techno, well and truly taken care of fabric will be welcoming back the legendary trio of Romanian artists RPR Soundsystem who will be making their way back to London on Saturday, December 11th for a mammoth 9-hour set. Their friends for the night will include Batu, Voigt.Mas, Sugar Free, tINI, Quest and a lot more besides.
Fast forwarding to 2022 and even more massive plans ae a foot with DJ Tennis and Friends taking over on 29th-30th January 2022 and then of course ‘Craig Richards Curates’ will be front and centre from 19th-20th February 2022. The lineups for these latter parties will be announced in the coming months but if the already confirmed guests are anything to go by Continuum will be unmissable.
