The inimitable Blies Festival returns to Rhineland-Palatinate for its usual goodness as they prepare for another 12-hour throwdown. Offering a paradise, housed in the veritable oasis of green within Luwdigshafen’s city centre, this extensive shindig provides a platform for cultural exchange as likeminded individuals gather to share the experiences as they offer up their minds and bodies to the dancefloor and the music.
Those who have been following Blies from their inception will be aware of their ethos and of the wealth of electronic music artists they have welcomed over the years. With their initial event seeing the likes of Mathew Jonson, Vera, Francesco Del Garda, Christian AB, Dr. Rubinstein, Gwenan, Roza Terenzi and more onboard, it comes as no surprise that this year will make for the 3rd edition of Blies Festival.
Joining them on the green is a tasteful curation of hotly tipped selectors sure to bring the vibes. Heading the bill is London-based DJ/producer TSHA who has been going from strength to strength as of late, with recent appearances at the likes of Circoloco and having landed a cover mix for Mixmag, it’s safe to say her talents aren’t going unnoticed.
Producer extraordinaire and all-round hotshot Sweely takes to the stage with his unique blend of minimal and house, flirting with a host of genres in his usual tongue-in-cheek fashion. Reinforcing an already concrete line up is serial crate digger and powerhouse producer Evan Baggs, Danish gem Courtesy, esteemed party starters and selectors Saoirse, Ivo Total, Bruno Schmidt, Mari.te, and native German stepper Fabe all being welcomed to the fold for some serious party action.
An hour and a half drive from Frankfurt, Blies Festival offers a hedonistic escape and an opportunity to exude passion for the music, the culture, and the way of life. The outdoor portion of raving will take place at Blies between midday and midnight, with an afterparty taking place in Ludwigshafen right through til 8am, amassing a grand total of 20 hours on the dancefloor.
