Berlin-based vinyl emporium and distributor Black Round Twelve (BRT Distributor) has for the past five years been servicing the needs of vinyl heads from all over the world. By way of their intimately curated physical store or their expansive web store, their minimal, house and techno offerings are beyond reproach.
This status as one of the cities go to gatekeepers of minimal wax is about to level up considerably. The store has recently broken the news that they will be launching their own record label and none other than Ricardo Villalobos will be inaugurating the label.
The two-track ‘Mecker’ EP will feature two versions of the track that first appeared on the Chilean’s fabric mix CD back in 2007. Who knows where the track has been since then or if we have even heard flickers of it but the main thing is that it is now finally receiving a full vinyl release. Matching the masterful music is the sleeve artwork of Juli Jah one of our scenes most talented artists and the result is fittingly breath-taking homage to the man himself
