French superstar Janeret has been solidifying his status as one of the finest artists in the game with his series of curated events at Barcelona’s flagship venue Input. Being now based in Spain, he has made his presence felt in the best possible way, and is by way of his next EP that is due to land on Les Enfants Records.
Amongst a myriad of elements that make Janeret’s tracks so unmissable is his knack for crafting tight grooves. Never letting the beat drop for more than is absolutely necessary is one of his superpowers and we pick up his “Shadows” EP with our premiere track “Bliss”. Punchy beats take precedence during the early part of the track but his other trademark skill in producing stunning atmospheres is soon added to the mix. Being able to couple these two aspects make for a powerful combination.
Completing side B is “Celestial Harmonies” and by its very name conjures up visions of stunning solar flares set to the backing track of shimmering breakbeats. Flipping over to side A and lead track “Shadows” is a gnarly beast of a track. Swinging percussion helps to really inject serious attitude and the sinister synth and vocoded vocal that flickers in and out of view is tempered perfectly with the sweet pads. Completing another top release from Les Enfants Records is “Nuages” and the true to form it is another slice of class from Janeret.
