Premiere: B3 – Lan° – The Correct Spelling [RBE002]

As the old saying goes – the best things in life take time. Therefore, after a two-year hiatus since their previous release, multidisciplinary label and event planner Rawbeats Records returns with a much-awaited second release of their Rawbeats Extrasensorial EP, featuring no less than six different artists: Stefano Andriezzi, Lo-Lo, Anna Wall, Dream World (Chicaiza & Tro), and Lan°.

Today’s featured track,The Correct Spellingon side B3, comes from Lan°, a young Argentinian artist on the rise, whose passion and dedication to music haven’t gone unnoticed. Surrounding himself with synthesizers and hardware instruments from a young age and experimenting with sounds from various sources, the fruits of his work are finally being harvested, as he is getting the recognition he deserves. His creativity and playfulness can be observed in this track as well, with its bubbly breaks, contagious energy, and spatial synths, all blending in with the rhythmic vocals that cover it through its end.

Moving on to Stefano Andriezzi’sSíntomason side A1. Based in Barcelona, the South American is renowned for his linear and precise approach to music. In this track, his approach makes all the quirky synths and industrial-like pads blend and form a groovy and distinctive sound, turning it into a great party starter.

On side A2, we have Uruguayan Lo-Lo’s trippy and hypnotizingThe Last Domain”, a dreamy piece with astonishing Egyptian influences that are skillfully accompanied by blurry vocals and spooky pads — an unexpected, yet charming crossover of elements and nuances.

Flipping back to the B-side, we have Anna Wall, London’s electronic music scene guru and Fabric resident, with herMercury Retrogradeon B1. Renowned for her eclectic sound, sliding gracefully between several genres in her sets and productions, Wall’s rise in the underground scene maintains well-deserved success. Her track has a little bit of everything: intrigue, mystery, playfulness, vibrancy. Truly a great example of her signature sound.

Dream World, a duo consisting of the charming Berliners Chicaiza and Tro, is guilty forAlice Ghoston side B2, a stunning otherworldly work of art, with a delicate touch of nostalgia and slow-paced drums.
