From the very beginning, we don’t really have much information about this record from the new ETAT label. Design by Dima Phase, distribution by Viniil, and mastering by Ancut. Some mentions of Kurilo on Soundcloud and Instagram and also a mention of the party series. Anyway, a very nice bunch of producers, that is ready for a very nice start as I see, is hiding behind their first release.
Our today’s track is by a Ukrainian producer Troy. You could hear him at least on the track with Sasha Zlykh on LAPSE001 (wait for LAPSE002 on Trommel, btw, very soon). This today’s one by him is a slow cooker “Upfornight”. The track was picked after that lazy vocal sample, which is somehow turning the track into a much more interesting piece, adding some spooky vibes to the already slow and gloomy base.
The discography of the label formally starts from Elias Sternin and “Nothing Really Dies” and this track is opening all doors with the mighty kick. Epic horns, another spoken word samples a touch of acid – great one, what else to say? GNMR and his bubbling “Alligator” continues the vibe of the A1, but with a bit more laid back style. Then we’re having another talent from Italy – Luca Piermattei and his “Matrixclan”. Another slow piece with few robotic voices and trippy melodies inside. And the last on the record is the owner – “How” from Kurilo is a great roller with some trancey and acid infusions inside.
Definitely sounds interesting, so, if you’re into the first releases of not very well-known labels – run to Viniil, Juno, Deejay or wherever you’re buying your wax.
