Chat Noir subseries is starting the year loudly with their next EP by Mariiin (and a little help from Otis). We love both of them, so today we decided to pick the only remix on the release.
“False Memory (Otis Remix)” is a dark, rockstar-ish piece, lying between house, techno, and electro at once. But with all that versatility, the only thing you can’t change here is its place in the sets. Always pick the climax; this one won’t fit anywhere else.
But the original version will. A bit lighter track, still with plenty of griminess inside it. That’s the B-side. There’s also a great A-side with a groovy, percussive opener “Try Again”, that at one moment will mimic some electro (only for a brief moment). And a bit more kick-y piece, “Club Disorder”, kinda mysterious, kinda spooky, just like the whole release.
