The Ukrainian Fib Records strikes again! This time it’s a full EP from the owner, Lisovskyi, filled to the brim with the signature buzzing and squelching.
Starting from the last one today, “Lypa Drips”, that has a connection to Lypa Diggers crew in its name (shout out to Lviv!), is a carnival of buzzing, rolling, almost unpleasant sounds — a moderately slow, but totally dancefloor-destroying piece.
“Pirated Thoughts” on the B1 position is an even more sinister tune. It seems that the main evil is hidden in the background, while you can distract yourself with all that upfront buzz. “It Takes Two” sounds a bit lighter – but that “a bit” is, let’s say, “VERY little”. Finally, “Unstable Session”, the opener of the record, has another example of a soundsystem-testing level of the bassline.
If you’re in the mood for the dark, gloomy yet powerful EP – you know, that Juno, Deejay, or Decks will be happy to bring it to you. This time, after 42 copies of the first and 100 of the second release, we’ll have 150 pieces – it won’t be easier than that, I’ve been told.
