Super Fresh label makes its debut in our premieres section. A new label, known for “reviving forward-thinking electronic music from the past.” We don’t typically deal with reissues, but this one caught our attention because of Tro’s fresh remix.
Tro’s take on “Waterbounce” by DJ Quiz shifts the vibe slightly, adding a mellow touch while stepping back from the original tech and progressive sound. The essence of the original era is still there, but this remix is more stripped-down, offering a refreshing change in a time when many are overwhelmed by bangers. It’s one you could spin repeatedly.
After the original and more 2005-feel version of “Waterbounce,” we dive into a more energetic take with “Light Expressions,” which almost veers into electro-house territory with its bouncy bass. The final track, “Can I Open A Bank Account?” is a top-notch roller, crafted straight for the dancefloor with its killer build-up.
