So, Ba Dum Tish empire seems to be growing even more with our label of today. Kizoku and Rudi are starting their new one, called Instant Match under that distribution. The name should speak for itself, since, as was told, this label will “release tracks from people with whom they both have a special connection”. The first one will be Rob Amboule (I must say, that you guys have very nice connections).
Our main thing today is opening the B-side of the record with a flair. Really, from the first second you have that feel of a great track here. Majestic percussive build-up, that transforms into “dancefloor’s most wanted” thing of the night. “Takhausx” is exactly 7 minutes long, and you won’t be bored at any of it. That’s a promise.
And that’s, of course, not the only one great thing on the record. Its opener, called “Lil Grey”, could also be imagined as a powerful summer tool, with its light mood, but a very fat bassline, that shows very delicately through the track. And also, that jazzy melody… Speaking about fat – kick in “Tommy’s Glasses” could easily be compared to that bassline from A1, believe me here. Still doesn’t do any damage to the light vibe of the track. Ending the record with some piece of broken beats. That’s “10101010”. Also a very light and warm one.
As Rob said: “the tracks for MATCH01 came together pretty quickly, as I’d been writing a lot when Nabil (Kizoku) and Rudi approached me with the idea for their new label. I was really excited to be involved because we’ve been friends for years and it’s a privilege to be asked to do the first release on a new label.” Couldn’t wish better for the start, right?
