Barbatus D. Wreckords are ready with their third joint (time flies fast – we just had their debut one, remember?). The name on the record is Pontiff Ordric – in case, it doesn’t ring a bell for you, don’t worry – I was caught by surprise too, after I knew, that this one is a new alias of Haathi from the THP crew (you may know them from their events at Closer).
“Laboratory’s Hazard” is a marching piece of beauty, hard-hitting, synth stuff with those robotic voices all over it… A very functional, body music for slow and long dancing all the way.
And that is only one of four. The first one on the record is “Secrets Of Nexus”, a much deeper piece, still simple in its 7-minute perfection.
A small jump to the other side of the record – and we’re having 150-bpm electro beauty “Ancient Technology” that would stand out in any set of somebody like DJ Stingray or Detroit In Effect. And if it’s too fast for you – there’s also “The Dawn Of Machines” on B2. Somehow it has the same hippy (and a bit hoppy) feel of its B1 neighbor (everything besides that feel is completely different here).
The record should be out soon. Be careful at Juno, Deejay or Decks. You snooze – you lose.
