Toi Toi Musik number six and latest release, which came out in these days, is from Ricardo Villalobos and Argenis Brito. The EP takes its name from the two tracks it’s made of, “El Malekon” and “Rikileaks”.
The two DJ and producers certainly does not need any kind of introduction, having a speechless and outstanding career both in studio as well as behind the decks. The pair have already worked together in several productions and EP, however this is the first time ever they are using the “Pox & Pol” monkier, establishing a sweet precedent for the UK label.
We here produly present as a premiere the A-side, “El Malekon”, 13 minutes and 20 seconds of pure bliss, a classic trademark of the Chilean star. Mechanic and broken vocals materialise throughout the whole lenght of the track, with echoes of conversation pieces following through. Percussions and basslines are scientifically mixed for what results to be a deep and groovy minimal piece.
