Today we’re having, probably, the most track-id-ed piece of the last 12 months or so. Harry Wills did a wonderful job of keeping this beauty from Spicy all this time; finally, we can share it.
If you saw or heard the mix from Alec Falconer for yoyaku instore sessions, you can remember the moment when wild Sasha Pervukhin appeared and made the record skip during Alec’s mixing. Well, that was this one – “TMWYW”. One of the greatest rollers of recent times, it kinda sends us a few years back, when the minimal wasn’t so abandoned but still had this type of bangers rising. The perfect voice sample that will live rent-free in your head later.
There’s also “Last Card” on the other side of the record – runs totally in another direction (not literally, but stylistically). The marching, almost EBM beat with the recorded conversation on top and some chaotic bleeps and clicks on top of that. Another easy score.
