Ben Rau adds up to the fifth piece of its INKAL discography, confirming his prolific inspiration when it comes to his personal label and playground.
The German DJ and producer takes two quality cut and creates a versatile 12″, demonstrating once again his skills in the studio. “Gravity” EP is in fact only the last gem of a great 2018 for Ben, and is following “Systeme Solaire” EP, premiered by us no more than 6 months ago.
The year saw also META label launch, which operates as INKAL sister label and create space for friends and music that Ben plays and appreciate most. Two killer remix for Roy Ayers – Holiday, including our favourite “Meta Remix”, and a feature in Tamango Records “Rough Side” EP [TMNG005] only increased his fame of outstanding producer and DJs favourite.
For our premiere, we selected the front side, from which the EP takes it’d name. The warm and bouncy sound set immediately the right mood. An increasing rhythm accompanied by melodic elements and whispered vocals are a real showcase of how to make drum machines and synth interact together, and how to direct them with sparkling creativity.
Like many others from Ben Rau and INKAL, this record is likely going to sell out fast, so we advise not to sleep on it!
