After a three-year hiatus, Geneva-based house label & collective Le Ski Club returns to the electronic music scene with their fifth much-anticipated release, a carefully crafted digital album featuring exquisite tracks from no less than five local heroes: Mirlaqi, Black Space, Fermecat, Rodosaurus, and DJ Tendance.
Our premiered track is Fermecat and DJ Tendance’s “Move With Me”, a hypnotic grinding electro piece, filled with charming female vocals and sharp synths that make your mind wander and explore the unknown while listening.
“K’s Fantasy” (A-cid mix), Mirlaqi’s first track on the album makes for the ideal opener, with its funky tribal notes, piano keys, and funky synths accompanied by a contagious melodic line that ascends throughout the track.
The second track on the album, “I’m A Free Man” showcases Black Space’s trancey and mystifying touch through the linear spacey melodic line, puzzling vocals, and overall eerie vibe of the musical journey he has crafted.
“Everything I Could Say”, Fermecat’s other track on the album, and Rodosaurus’ “Serendipia” serve as the darker counterparts of the release, both creating a somber, dusky atmosphere that fascinates and fully captivates the listener.
LSC005 will be released on the last Friday of the month, November 29th, and until then it can be pre-ordered on Bandcamp.
