Premiere: 4 – Enem – Tao Pai Pai [SC001]

Argentinian-born DJ & producer Matias Mendez aka Enem, one of the key figures of Barcelona’s underground scene, is now taking his brand Sunet Curat to the next level with his first digital release “Obras de las raíces”, making it the newest addition to the label market. You may have already heard about Sunet Curat through the countless great parties organized in Barcelona over the years, from 2020 to the present, a recurring event that has successfully managed to gather a community around it and bring over 80 emerging and established DJs behind the decks.

For his label’s first release, he crafted five dancefloor-ready tracks, combining house, techno, and electro elements in his characteristic style.

Computerized-like sounds and quirky synths flowing rhythmically define the overall vibe of “Tao Pai Pai”, Enem’s premiered track that can be found in the fourth position in the album. An electrifying jam with low frequencies and a simple, yet effective melodic line filled with subtle sounds that will surely pay off when played on a proper sound system.

Funky breaks, puzzling vocals, and outer space synths — that’s what Arma Personal, the first track on the album is all about, and we’re totally into it. The second track, “Acceso Oneste”, is more technical and robotlike, making it a great option for a Berlin-style gathering through its industrial-infused sound.

The fourth and fifth tracks, “555 and Monsters”, switch lanes and change direction 180° to a darker, more sober atmosphere, with muffled vocal samples, echoing pads, and dubby notes for a deeper, starker vibe.

“Obras de las raíces” album will be released on November 1st and until then it can be pre-ordered on Bandcamp.
