Now on their sixth edition, Dirty Notes and its founder Astro Dime delivers the four track “Kiss Away” EP. Featuring four originals that bridge the gap between deep house, electro moods and above all, dancefloor bombs.
We begin our deep dive at the top of the release with “Together” and label founder Astro Dime wastes no time in bringing the synth laden grooves into focus. Acidic synths and deeply satisfying basslines take center stage. Hushed vocal snips remind us of the whole point of a packed dancefloor and this track soundtracks the action.
Next is “Salvation” and the skipping hats and paddy bassline offer the perfect combination of groove and euphoric electronics. The accompanying vocal snips and stripped back percussion leave the space in between to speak volumes.
“Your Love” comes next and with a passing nod to 80s power house bands, electro synths and laser zaps complete the mood nicely. Finally we complete our look at DTN006 with “The Future” and Dirty Notes finish on a high with a peak time, bass heavy heater that thuds in all the right places.
