Trommel.170 – Kozo

Together with Dan Andrei as AK41 and in solo mode Bucharester Kozo has a distinctly riddim heavy flow that has seen him rise to the very top of the Ro scene. Along the way, he has penned tracks for the likes of Tooloop Records, Draganenii, as well as slew of his own self released bombs which can be found on his own Bandcamp page. This side of Kozo only tells part of the story behind this esteemed artist, as his first love of DJing is where you will find him at his most fluid. Having grown to become one of Romania’s celebrated selectors you will find him most weekends in charge of the decks at some of our scenes most in demand events such as Waha Festival, Electric Castle, Club Guesthouse, Holiday Mood, Picnic Fonic, and them’s excellent series of raves.

We have, however, omitted one event that Kozo is a regular at and that is Sunwaves. It is most recent edition of this legendary festival that we find Kozo in full flow for our next podcast edition. Leading the night time charge on Monday as he takes over from Dan Andrei Kozo expertly sets the tone for the business end of Sunwaves as he weaves together floaty twilight grooves with outrageously deep and gnarly basslines across this 3-hour stint in Stage 4. For those that were present and correct for this masterclass in ebb and flow will attest the skills that Kozo is so renowned for.
