Co-founder of Fun Recordings alongside Argentine brother Alexis Cabrera, Barem is an old hand when it comes to groove-based bombs. Having been an integral part of Richie Hawtin’s M_nus family during the late noughties his pedigree is strong. Once Barem moved forward from this point his bass-infused rhythms were able to flourish and to reach peak strength.
This of course led to him setting up Fun Rec. with Alexis as well as releasing for the likes Musica Lunar, Little Helpers, and for his booking agent Belisa Booking’s and their label output. A staple of the world minimal community Barem couples rocking beats, South American flair with a whole lot of funk on our newest Trommel podcast.
