Hungarian collective Wedding Acid Group prove that three is the magic number with their heady productions that hit the sweet spot between techno, electro, trance, and of course acid. With regular appearances on Undersound Recordings that include their 2023 “Metro-303” longplayer, they have even released a cassette through the imprint which features an extended live jam. Their musical output is certainly not confined to this excellent Undersound label as they have also released the extensive 2014 “Newpestian Adventures” LP on the now-defunct Budapest label Farbwechsel.
With a penchant for higher bpm’s and feel good music with that acid twang, “Planet of Love” knocks each of these touch points out of the park. The delicately repeating hats, lush synth pads, and fluctuating flecks of acid that dance in and out of view make this a sure fire winner in the end of night stakes. When your eyes inevitably close, and they will, you will be easily transported to the heyday of trance in its purest e love form.
