Bucharest born Vienna based artist dot13 has been working hard in his studio lately and will shortly be releasing his ‘Nightcrawler’ EP on the newly minted label Into The Wizards Sleeve.
So, while you are waiting for this release to drop dot13 has crafted this intricately detailed re-imagination of Sugar Hill Gang’s seminal ‘Rapper’s Delight’. Featuring samples of the original vocal but warped and pitched in order to bed nicely with the rolling bassline, panning synths, and skipping percussion of this cerebral funk take on one of the most influential hip-hop tracks of all time. Expect this to be filed under ‘secret weapon’ in some of the scenes top minimal selectors’ USB’s.
