Paradisal Records boss Mirko Felicioli has been instrumental in the development of Southern Italy’s underground scene. Having taken charge of the debut outing on his own imprint, he has recently hit back with the second instalment via Edo Ecker which speaks to his own musical soft spot for New Wave, Electro, and all things synth based. From his other outings on established labels such as Conceptual Moods and Sentaku, Mirko has also dipped his toe into the digital world with last year’s “The Weight Of Dreams“ EP. We have a feeling that there is much more in Mirko’s locker waiting to be unveiled.
One such heater that Mirko has been storing away for a rainy day is “Lilith” and we are excited to present this as part of our Free Download series. Taking his cues from the darker influences he enjoys, Mirko keeps the grooves stripped back and robust while the reduced bassline ensures that the seductive vocal delivers its message with maximum impact. There is little to wonder about when the picture is completed by the arpeggiating synth line which drops in and out of view throughout the latter part of the track.
