The duo of Bucharest based outfit Heerd has crafted a nicely weighted balance of dancefloor branded minimal as well as being able to inject their trademark lush soundscapes. Their ethereal style has garnered them much adoration amongst some of minimals’ brightest artists and has had their tracks picked up by the likes of Priku during his recent Sunwaves stream set. it is highly likely that you will continue to catch more work from Heerd in some big sets in the near future.
To showcase what they are all about they have kindly submitted ‘Departure’ as our next free download and true to form this atmospheric roller really hits the sweet spot between cosmic groove and a smooth ambient daydream. Make no mistake this is no chillout track as the fathoms deep bassline and subtle percussion and tightly woven beats keep the track focused firmly on the dancefloor.
