Trommel’s New Years Resolution 2026: 12 must-see artists on the rise

For the eagle eye’d amongst you, you will have noticed that there is more than 12 artists on our list this year. For good reason. As you will likely be aware, there is an ever expanding influx of new and exciting artists on the rise and in our scene this is not just confined to producers. The advent of multi-disciplinary creatives means that now being just a good selector doesn’t seem to cut it any longer in some conversations.

Of course, there is always an exception to this rule and we whole heartedly encourage the bucking of trends. So, as we enter 2026 and plans are a foot for travelling and experiencing new musical avenues, we present the thirteen artists that are very much on the rise…

    David Triana & Rakim Under

Technically two artists, but we are sure you won’t hold it against us. Rakim Under and David Triana have a been a regular force this past year and have been bringing the heat everywhere from Garbicz Festival, to Circoloco (separately), Mult Multi, ReSolute presents: Can You Jigit?, as well as an all night long b2b at London’s favorite pub The Lion & Lamb. Production wise they are yet to converge on the same release, but in solo mode they are a force to be reckoned with. We have a feeling that 2026 will see this exciting prospect come to life.

    Di Linh

Resident DJ of the renowned Savage club in Hanoi, Di Linh has been instrumental in its legend. The Vietnamese selector has been extremely busy racking up the hours in the Savage booth as well as making regular trip outside of her home base. This has meant a packed schedule that has recently seen her taking in Thailand’s Wonderfruit Festival as well as guest slots in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Tokyo, Mumbai, and Mongolia. We expect 2026 to be just as adventurous for the seasoned Di Linh.

    HearThuG

Another name well known to avid readers of these pages, but for those that follow HearThuG’s movements will be well aware that this past year has been a huge one for the Tunisian. As well as being an ambassador for the blooming North African scene, he has been spreading the good word via his high octane / high energy style all around Europe and South America.

    IAMBP (I Am Black Panther)

Having been the subject of the recent Automatic Writing “Between The Lines” mini-doc, IAMBP (I Am Black Panther) lays bare her personal approach to music. Such recognition of her talents is only the tip of the iceberg of this rising star. A regular face on the Parisian underground scene, IAMBP is now becoming an in demand name around Europe and beyond. Her energetic productions via Cosa Vostra, ANSEM Records, her own Panthers On Wax imprint, and more so her DJ sets have begun to ensure her name is on the lips of the electronic music fraternity. We expect big things from her in the coming 12 months.

    Ludmila Di Pasquale

An emerging star in the Argentinian scene, Ludmila Di Pasquale has already garnered huge respect from peers and promoters alike. Having warmed the floor for a wide cross section of artists that includes Chris Stussy, Seth Troxler, Shonky, and Ben Klock her love of house and techno are equal. A vinyl lover through and through, she has in recent months continued her journey as a producer with a well received vinyl release on OAM Records that fuses her two style effortlessly.

    Nicole

With the paint still not even dry on her recent entry into our Free Download series, the Georgian born, Berlin based Nicole is already eyeing her next victory. A firm favourite in Germany’s Sin City, Nicole will begin 2026 the way she closed out this year with a sets at two legendary clubs – Kater and Tresor. We see this becoming a trend for the Georgian artist as she continues to climb up through the underground.

    Pancratio

Not necessarily a new name to the scene by any stretch, but 2025 has been an extremely successful year for Pancratio. Receiving the plaudits he rightfully deserves, his productions span many sub genres that enjoy darker Italo moods as well as hypnotic house. His onetriptoavyon imprint has delivered many highlights in recent times, but it is his recent Faith Beat EP that has moved his profile into different realms.

    Reflex Blue

There is no denying that the name Reflex Blue has been on the lips of everybody this year. From FUSE to Half Baked, SlapFunk to Dimensions, the Australian has been there and done it. We haven’t even touched on his productions, which have been popping up all over the place too. We predict an even bigger year for Reflex Blue as he is already in the hat for Gottwood Festival and full touring schedule that will see him kick off 2026 in his native Australia.

    Tati Pimont

Part of the collective Mixordia, Brazilian selector and record dealer Tati Pimont has also hugely impressed throughout 2025. Having cut a swathe through the burgeoning Brazilian scene, she regularly continues her journey outwith her home base. Having starred at Rio Hostel’s 2025 Bonanza in Colombia and her support set for Jane Fitz back in May, Tati Pimont is a name that will continue to be discussed and sought after in 2026.

    Trajano

Sneaking into this year’s InSession series at the very beginning of the year, Trajano announced his arrival on the scene in much the same way – with a bang. His moody productions and heavy hitting DJ sets have ensured that many in the industry have earmarked Trajano as one to watch. Since his mid January mix for us the Brazilian artist has peppered this year with some career defining sets at hotspots Trotamundo in Ecuador, Les Enfants Brillants in Barcelona, Wigwam in Dublin, Goya Social Club in Madrid, Skull Bar in Athens, as well as a litter of Campana Records showcases dotted around South America. This is a theme that will certainly continue throughout 2026 and beyond.

    Young Sun

Teller Seoul resident DJ Young Sun has impressed us on more than a few occasions and with such a great reaction to his InSession mix for us means he more than earns his spot on this list. Being a great resident DJ means that every guest DJ that arrives in the booth is able to continue to enhance an already told story, or be able to completely change the narrative. This is a prized skill that Young Sun most definitely has nailed down. South Korea’s nightlife story continues to unfold and will continue to become more and more enthralling with DJs like Young Sun as its main protagonist.

    Zeina

Another artist that massively impressed with her InSession mix and what a year she has had. Since airing her mix she has gone on to deliver sets all over the globe. To pin down even a few of her highlights is a hard task, but special mention needs to go to her performances at the likes of Can You Jigit?, Shift’s huge Memorial Day rave at The Lincoln Factory, Houghton Festival, fabric, as well as a number of Yoyaku appearances. Zeina is already off and running with her 2026 campaign with sets already booked for Why Not? In Zanzibar and Sunny Side Festival in Malta. We can guarantee there will be plenty places to catch her in action in 2026.

    Lourene

Last, but most assuredly not least a special mention goes to sultry lyricist Lourene. As well as delivering vocals for a clutch of white hot club trax this year, the Brazilian songstress hooked up with Gab Jr. for an electric live performance duo that few saw coming. To cement this relationship the pair provided a stunning edition of our Free Download series – “Sangue Latino”. With many more projects and live performances in the works expect to see and hear much more from Lourene in 2026.
