The race for festival season is well and truly underway and one of the front runners in the large scale stakes is undoubtedly Paradise City. If ever there was a more picturesque site for a weekend full of dancing and music it would be the Belgian locale of Rebauld Castle. What is also more alluring, is the fact that this massive event has recently received a suitably large amount of praise heaped on it due to its sustainability credentials.
As well as promoting the use of eco-friendly transport to and from the festival, its meat free food court, Paradise City also harnesses the sun’s rays to power part of the festival. The Contrast stage receives 99% of its power from renewable sources, and when you think of the size of this stage and amount of musical talent that will be soundtracking this area, no wonder they got the nod at the International AGF Awards.
As if you needed even more of a reason to put Paradise City firmly at the top of your festival hitlist, the Belgian team have clearly been working hard on this lineup as they have collected together a very nice spread of artists. Joining the already heady mix of names is a cast of well known faces from across the music spectrum that includes Floating Points, Jane Fitz, Galcher Lustwerk, Mr. G, Ogazon, Otis, and house music royalty Ron Trent.
