Albanian juggernaut UNUM Festival has carved out an enviable place in the large events sphere, and rightly so. Their mix of spot-on lineup curation combined with a location that is like nowhere else on earth. This has resulted in an extended party that stretches across 5 days at the beginning of June that welcomes hundreds of the underground’s top-flight selectors.
For those looking to recapture that UNUM magic, there are two exceptional off-site events coming up shortly. The first entails a jaunt over to The White Isle on Sunday, September 13th, where UNUM’s talisman Ricardo Villalobos will be combining his Amnesia / Pyramid residency with a hookup with the Albanian festival. For this special event, Ricardo will be joining forces again with longtime collaborator Luciano, where they will be performing back-to-back, and we all know how these sets play out.
With this being such a landmark event, the lineup has been bolstered by none other than Francesco Del Garda, who consistently shows what is possible with just a set of decks and a bag of records. He will be joined by crowd favourite Saoirse, who comes with her own brand of house, techno, and minimal. Representing UNUM Festival is Anitë, and those in attendance during her set at The Pines will know all about her skills at making the room move.
The next event that they have on their upcoming schedule is the first UNUM in the Mountains event. Taking place on Sunday, November 29th at Titlis, Engelberg Resort in Switzerland, UNUM will be transplanting their excellent branding and matching artist curation to the snowy Alpine peaks. For their first edition, they will be enlisting the undoubted musical clout of Sven Väth and who better to help launch such an exciting event in this truly alternative locale.
Joining the party will be the duo of Praslea and Raresh aka Praslesh, and fans of UNUM Festival will know exactly what these two can do, as they regularly take the roof off the wooden DJ booth set deep within The Pines stage. Another firm favourite at The Pines is local hero Alci, who, alongside Voigtmann, turned in one of the sets of the festival. Support comes from UNUM regulars Anitë B2B Gemza, who also impressed during the last edition.
