After a highly successful edition last year, Passage Festival will take place 20th & 21st of May 2023 following the same formula taking to Bluefactory for the day and Fri-son for the night. The event aims to bring the latest and most exciting sounds for electronic music heads to enjoy as well as providing a platform for experiences to be shared.
Having developed a reputation for curating events stacked with established and up-and-coming artists from Switzerland and beyond, it comes as no surprise that the previous Passage saw a handsome selection of artists welcomed to Fribourg for the 36-hour extravaganza. With the likes of Le Loup, Junki Inoue, Vera, Robin Ordell, Atree, and Carl H all performing at last year’s event you can imagine this year will be no different.
Kicking off this edition of Passage is Swiss wizard and rising star, Nahste Oner, who will be flaunting his studio prowess in the form of a live set. Next up for the daytime selections at Bluefactory is fellow Swiss native O’Hana who will be heating up the floor with some deep digs and tasteful selections before handing over to turbo producer and notorious Swiss selector Dan Piu. The Bluefactory will be in the very safe hands of two ladies of international acclaim, Dutch hotshot and VBX/Bret resident DouDou MD producer and selector extraordinaire Oshana to round off the day in style.
Fri-son sees out the remainder of Saturday’s musical offerings, with Swiss duo Alpine Foothills setting the tone with low-slung grooves and dub elements warming things for a night of raving. Melliflow resident and Berlin mainstay Vlada will be taking attendees on a wild journey aboard her musical spaceship adjacent to Berlin-based producer and DJ Mor Elian who will be closing things off with some hard-hitting dancefloor heaters.
Well-versed in the effects a full day and night of raving can have on the brain and body, Passage have thought ahead and provided a unique opportunity to recharge and rejuvenate whilst enjoying a sweet serve of some top-notch electronic music. This comes in collaboration with esteemed restauranteurs, Les Menteurs, who will be serving Sunday brunch at Bluefactory from 11am-2pm. Mealtime, will be soundtracked by live sets from Swiss artists, Miston and E&A Ruëger. Berlin-based Swiss export Wyatt will take the reigns as he provides his selection of groovy, sharp and naughty tunes, with choice digs from minimal, tech house and beyond.
Eli Verveine is up next, a name that needs no introduction for those that have heard it, synonymous with mixing top records, striving for that perfect groove and flow the Swiss native spinner has been rocking dancefloor across the globe for more than 20 years. Rounding off Sunday evening at Bluefactory is the one and only DJ Masda. Having cut his teeth spinning vinyl in the 90’s, Masda has formed a reputation for flawless track selections across the deeper sides of house and electro and has developed a formidable formula for the dancefloor as his beats are known to bring the heat.
