New non-profit Electronic Collection presents a series of events aimed at mental health awareness

At a time when much more dialogue is required regarding mental health, step forward, Laidlaw. Together with a clutch of London-centric promoters, a program of workshops, discussions, and events has been devised to arm the industry with more information on the difficult subject of mental health.

Titled “Day of the Dead”, and in the words of organisers this is traditionally a time to honour loved ones that have passed, “…this ties in perfectly with our mission to support various mental health movements and cultural associations.” As well as supporting the fantastic work already being done in this realm, this event will be two-pronged as it will also act as a much-needed shot in the arm of the nightlife industry. With our beloved scenes coming under continued stress, what better way to give back than to nurture the community that has created some of the most memorable moments in London club culture in recent years.

With more entities still to be added, this community-based initiative spearheaded by Aromatik, Beeyou, Fraise, FDTN, Gottwood, Jamboree, Krab Records, Mui Mui Records, Oscuro, Special Force, and Wiggle will all add their industry clout to help push this worthy cause forward. There are many more details still to be announced, but these events will be taking place across two of East London’s most recognised venues during a 24-hour period on Saturday, November 2nd.
