MIMO Festival will gather some of the French scene’s finest this June

MIMO Festival flyer featuring lineup

Back in January we told you that French collective Avalanche would soon be announcing full details of their first ever festival. The wait is over and we can now reveal plans for MIMO Festival and the line up that comes with it.

It is of course no mean feat to host your own festival, proving a testament to the long time pals behind the name. Avalanche have spent recent years cutting their cloth at superb Parisian venue Le Trabendo and it certainly feels like they’ve been building up to this point.

Now MIMO is on the horizon, a two day camping festival kicking off at the start of summer on Friday 2nd June. Situated in the elegant estate of Chateau de Quenet, an hour outside of Paris. The organisers aim to capitalise on the luscious surroundings with an aptly curated soundtrack. Over 50 artists come together, bringing a blend of genres that offers flavours for all.

The 19th century castle comes with pristine gardens, dedicated spaces of nature made with exploration in mind. The idyllic surroundings offer the escapism that we crave, while the music offers the hedonism. All with an option camping on the doorstep of a magnificent chateau.

A bunch of collectives make up the backbone, featuring of course Avalanche alongside the likes of Beau Mot Plage, Binary Sound and Distrikt. The artist line up boasts a fine list of selectors, both from France and further afield. Amongst them, you’ll find Antoine Sy, Automatic Writing, Charonne, Jimmy Batt (live), Kepler, Liquid Earth, Nate S.U and Smooth Operators. They’re inviting some of their favourites, names that have graced the decks previously at Avalanche club events.

Early bird tickets have already sold out, but you can find regular sale here. Priced at just €94.50, this is certainly one for the calendar.
