Malaga is set to host the latest edition of Sophie with a two-day opening event on June 20th and 21st, merging established names with a strong underground presence. The festival features a lineup spanning primarily house and techno with a particular emphasis on vinyl culture.
Leading the bill is Solomun, returning for a four-hour set following his notable closing performance at Sophie 2024. Joining him is The Blessed Madonna making her Malaga debut. Chaos In The CBD will also perform, presenting their new album, ‘A Deeper Life’, as part of their global tour. For those seeking a more raw, improvised sound, the legendary producer Mathew Jonson will deliver a live analog techno set.
The festival also spotlights a significant contingent of underground talent and vinyl devotees. Friday’s lineup includes Argia, Giorgio Maulini, Notre Dame, alongside Ogazon and Ryan Elliot, both residents at Berlin’s beloved Panorama Bar and becoing increasingly known for their B2Bs.
Saturday invites the digging crew with the taste-making Gene on Earth and a back-to-back set from Sugar Free & Fonte. The lineup is completed by The Ghost, two of the busiest deejays in dance music who have evolved from their origins as a record shop on wheels in Berlin into a global network of dedicated vinyl enthusiasts and DJs.
The season continues healthily across the summer, with dates planned for June 28th with tINI, Anthea and Voigtmann making appearances. 18-19 July is the big hitter with a stacked two-day line-up featuring the likes of Ricardo Villalobos b2b Raresh, Onur Ozer and Quest to name a few.
Presale tickets for Sophie are available now, with the first 500 priced at €25. You can also buy a range of ticket options on RA.
