Harbour Lisbon turns five with a 21 hour double venue adventure

Lisbon’s favourite after hours venue Harbour Music Shelter has quickly become a staple in the thriving club scene in Portugal’s blossoming clubbing destination. Opening when the sun comes up, this sprawling industrial behemoth offers two floors and an open air space that lets revelers enjoy the morning sun in the company of some of Europe’s finest artists. Having always catered for more underground tastes, Harbour is now in the process of gearing up for their fifth birthday event and they have a wealth of talent lined up.

As a fitting celebration, their birthday party on Saturday, September 14th will take place at not just one venue but two. The first party on the agenda will take place at 8 Marvila, an impressive event space that is contained with the towering walls of an old wine warehouse. With this first leg of the journey starting early evening until early morning there is plenty of programming time to welcome a diverse array of artists to their stage.

Topping the bill at 8 Marvila is none other than French tour de force Traumer. His talents in keeping a dancefloor captivated from the first to the last beat is known the world over and thanks to his awe inspiring back catalogue, multitude of aliases and booth presence there are few artists that could hold a candle to his energy while in full flow.

Joining him will be Lola Haro who has quickly become a go to for the more discerning festivals such as Dimensions, Melt Festival, Horst, as well as the consistently excellent club based outings she enjoys around the world. Melding dub focused house and techno with more peak time moods means the Belgian artist is the perfect fit for her fellow French guest. Helping to set the scene and hit the right notes will be local heroes and visiting family members Bernardo Vaz, Gear, Kaesar, Kokeshi, and Midinoize.

With the closing moments resulting in rapturous applause taking place at 8 Marvila, the second leg of the party will already be in full swing over at Harbour Music Shelter. The vibe of this special place is feverish at the best of times, but for such a milestone event we can guarantee that there will be moments to cherish from start until finish. The reason we can be so sure is due to the artists that are on the bill, and joining the party will be UK artist Adam Pits. With a wealth of otherworldly sounds at his disposal his room shaking beats will be the perfect way to sign off on a landmark party.

He will aided by a team of artists that are responsible for shaping the Portuguese electronic music scene with André Cascais, Penelope, Tiago Fragateiro, and long term instigator Ze Salvador in piso 1 and João Miguel and Ferro in piso 2. All artists will play integral parts in this massive 21 hour soundtrack and we are sure this will be a birthday party to remember.
