With summer fast approaching the moment has finally arrived to reveal the epic stage splits and full lineups for this year’s 10-year anniversary Dimensions Festivals. Having already confirmed the after parties that will be taking place at the famed outdoor club Barbarellas the three main stages that will play host to much of the festival is positively brimming with all sorts of sounds and artistic talent form around the world. Of course you already knew that because Dimensions is well…Dimensions.
The Cosmos
Taking over from the Wabi Sabi area from last year’s festival, The Cosmos will play home to a widely diverse array of artists and varying genders too and they don’t come any more diverse than T4T LUV NRG. Star crossed beings Eris Drew & Octo Octa will be on hand to open up the festival on Thursday, September 1st with all manner of beats and moods as only they can. Joining the pair for the first session at The Cosmos will be cohorts Russell E.L. Butler & ADAB. Taking over the second part of the day first session will be like minded minds Maricas and Saorise, ISAbella, Vlada, and Jaye Ward will all perform throughout the latter part of the session. Friday, September 2nd will see The Cosmos welcome a heavy hitting selection of artists with more than a passing for bass heavy breaks. In a truly mouth-watering prospect Helena Hauff will square off against DJ Stingray 313, Radioactive Man (live), The Exaltics (live), and Ikonal will also feature.
The next day will be headed up by festival debutants and London stalwarts FABRICLIVE and they will be bringing a decidedly drum and bass slanted lineup that includes dBridge, Djrum, LCY, Jossy Mitsu, and k means. Heading towards the business end of the festival and the penultimate day will feature Mala, Sherelle, DJ Storm, Dimensions Soundsystem, and Migz. The final day of the festival at The Cosmos will be retained for another festival with just as much history in electronic music – Freerotation. Taking Dimensions into the last moments of the festival will be none other than DVS1, Blawan b2b Pariah, Move D, Steevio & Suzybee (live), Azu Tiwaline, re:ni, and Bugs Groove.
The Beach
This has always been one of the most deciding areas at Dimensions due to how picturesque this stage is. Taking a firm grip of the first day here will be one of the festival’s most longstanding members in Butter Side Up. Headed up by Hamish & Toby, the pair will be joined by Francesca Del Garda, Laurine & Cecilio, Truly Madly, Malika, KRN, Tho & Loren, Matthew Neequaue, and Midge Thompson. Friday’s session will belong to Heels & Souls and bringing the party for the extended session will include Soichi Terada (live), Tama Sumo, Jamie Tiller, Zakia, Heels & Souls, Sean OD, Harri Pepper, and Minus Kendal.
Mid festival shenanigans down on The Beach stage will belong another extended session this time from garage and house sensation Dr Banana. Joining the doctor will be a b2b from the Dr himself and Alec Falconer, Jeremy Sylvester, Eliza Rose, Helena Star, T Dunn, Aletha, and 404 Eros. The next day will have a decidedly soulful edge to proceedings with Marcellus Pittman, Bradley Zero, Paula Tape, Nabihah Iqbal, Ruf Dug, Beat Pete, and NikNak. For the marathon runners among you leaving a little in the tank will be rewarded with a joint session between two of Hollands main players – VBX x Slapfunk. Some of the biggest names in the minimal business will be turning out at this party and the lineup includes Raresh, Sonja Moonear, Christian AB, Youandewan, Huerta, Reiss, Samuel Deep, and Slapfunk newcomer Doudou MD.
Olive Grove
Opening up the Olive Grove at Dimensions Festival will be reserved for the Outlaws Yacht Club crew and taking control of the planted area will be Anatolian Weapons, OKO DJ, Jaye Ward, Wes Baggaley, Kiara Scuro, Maja Pa, Joe Gill, Junior. The next day will see the vibes and BPM’s being bumped up considerably with the arrival of Kalahari Oyster Cult. Offering a range of sounds there will be assuredly be something for everybody and a lot besides with Sansibar (live), Marie Montexier, Adam Pitts, Liquid Earth, Club Fitness, Rey Colino going all out for day 2. The beats and basslines continue to roll out in fine style with even more top notch artists pitching up to the Olive Grove. Taking control of one the coolest outdoor festival dancefloors around on Saturday, September 3rd will be Desyn, Gwenan, Joe Delon, Mother Earth, Rubi & Cleymoore.
Sunday is reserved for our own return to Dimensions and we have a feast of bad ass selectors on hand to make this 10th birthday celebration one to remember. Veering down a party starting bassline heavy route we Time Passages boss Binh, Italian rising stars Quest and Unai Trotti, Partisan head Anthea and wax aficionado and bad man DJ, Junki Inoue. The closing of the Olive Grove falls to Moroccan record label Casa Voyager. Main man OCB also known as Driss Bennis and his own peak time bombs are always focused squarely on the dancefloor the artists joining him also aim for the best. Helping to draw the festival to a close at what has surely seen some of the best action and this will no doubt down to LSDXOXO, DMX Krew (live), Detroit In Effect, Freakenstein, Tony Neptune & Selfhood, MLE, and Borut Cvajner. Previous editions of Dimensions Festival have been amongst Europe’s finest moments, but their tenth anniversary will surely go down as one of the ages.
