ATRI is a the product of a new collaboration between the two collectives Duckit and BetweenUs.
The desert experience will take place across 23rd and 24th February when the two crews will head to Algeria for a once in a life-time musical showcase. Spread over two days and nights, revellers will come together to dance under the stars in the Taghit Desert close to Bechar City.
Alongside a carefully curated line-up of artists, the festival will offer accommodation, local food and snacks, yoga and various artistic workshops honouring the local landscape.
There are a small number of international headliners that have been invited for the journey, together with local selectors and rising talents of the scene.
Flying in from Europe’s hotbed of electronic music is Anthea, the Partisan boss who has been stunning the scene with her spirited selections and consistently exciting output on her label.
Joining her is the thrilling live set from Levat. The Berlin-based artist has been a core part of the Hoppetosee/CDV family for many years, spinning records at both venues. More recently the scene has witnessed the evolution of his gripping live set which is sure to be spectacular in this unique environment.
Cartulis boss and one of the contemporary scene’s most exciting selectors Unai Trotti joins the crew. The kind of artist you can see time and time again without getting bored, constantly keeping things fresh with new and old records from his deep digging habits.
Barcelona-based crew Checkpoint is also involved in the curation which is evident in this diverse selection. Their seasoned residents Rainer and Sampol will also be spinning at this two-day celebration.
The crew describes the occasion as a ‘sensory convergence of music, performance art and local culture’. It’s a unique opportunity to experience this beautiful part of the world, soak up some new and inspiring culture all the while being soundtracked by many of electronic music’s most innovative artists.
