Premiere: A1 – Maximilian – Beyer [ESR005]

Maximilian returns to his Evideon Studio Records with two deep cuts for another top two-tracker on his own imprint.

Established in 2021, Evideon Studio Records has seen five Mikrokosmos EPs from label-head Maximilian, although each release may follow the same format, they certainly differ in style – each with their own individual stamp, as they span through flavours of house, disco acid and techno respectively. The smiley yellow character seen on the cover hints at nostalgia or a retrospective of sorts, as well as that dusty 90s aesthetic, all of which are nailed across each release.

A1. “Beyer” delivers smooth grooves and infectious motifs, before taking it deeper as sounds from space can be heard through the wormholes opened by mirage-like vocal transmissions, a perfect choice for those late-night outings. Spanning a whole side of vinyl, this extended cut makes up 50% of his upcoming “Mikrokosmos 5 EP [ESR005]”, his fifth of the kind all of which follow the same format – 1 bit of wax with a one track each side – I mean who doesn’t love playing tracks that span a whole side of vinyl.

On the flip side, B1. “Gurlitt” takes things up a notch as it delves into the abyss where sci-fi tones sing over futuristic basslines and jet-engine sub action drives the voyage onward into the unknown. Classic, analogue goodness bound to make heads spin on the dancefloor.

We’re excited to hear the rest of the Mikrokosmos story from both London-based Evideon Studio Records and Massimiliano Licari A.K.A. Maximilian. Check the links at the bottom to keep tabs on them for the future to come.
