Premiere: 2 – Nima Gorji & Shoxy – Los Montes (Valentino Kanzyani Remix) [NGTD005]

The latest digital release on NG Trax features two of the label favourites, head honcho Nima Gorji & Shoxy. It’s the first time the pair have collaborated here together, after already boasting a string of productions on the label between them individually. Their Malaga Stories EP features two tracks and a remix, the originals providing a combo joining deep, interesting grooves and a higher peak time energy. The remix comes from an equally as important name in underground house and techno, Valentino Kanzyani.

Kanzyani’s remix of Los Montes draws on the curious elements of the original, delving deeper into the mysteries that shroud it. The moody bassline is ever present throughout, a precise beat that intensifies with layers of bubbling synths that allures the listener to dark and mystifying worlds. Intricate percussive movements keep the groove very much alive as the hypnotic loops slowly lead you down the rabbit hole.

This is a track well suited for several moments, be it a warm up easing a crowd into a night of darker energies or being saved for the other end of the night, a tool also perfect for fading into more thought provoking beats when minds start to wander in the later hours of the morning.

NGTD runs synonymously with NG Trax, a label founded by Nima Gorji back in 2014. Both record collectors and digital downloaders are catered for. Although relatively new, NGTD hasn’t wasted time in its releases, already at five in less than a year. Keep them coming.
