Premiere: B2 – Kapik – People & Bambataz [SAR002]

Sarturan Records is ready with its second joint, full of great and not really well-known names. Well, it’s time to know them better, finally.

“People & Bambataz” by Kapik, as you probably already figured out, is based on one famous (and very influential for the electronic music culture) rapper from the 80s. There’s A LOT of easily recognized samples and vocals inside this piece of a modern house (not only from Afrika Bambaataa, by the way).

But this is only one piece from the bunch. Its B-side neighbour, “Snake Charmer” by Kiss The Future, has kinda the same vibe, and that hypnotizing vocoder really can do a great job around the snakes, I guess. The A-side fills us with “Trouble Choice” by Lazer Man, which has a much slower mood, I would say (if the mood could be slow). And, finally, the opener “The Bluesman” by RVR. The brightest track of the record. Who could have thought with that name, right?

The record will be available in the pre-orders section at record stores like KMA60 very soon, so don’t miss it!
