D.A.M.N. expands into one more label, called DAMN FRESH. For the inaugural release, they will have Geek and his 4-tracker, full of retro feelings.
Starting from the last one, “System Zero“, like the whole EP, has its Vice City feel, obviously. Synthy, jumpy, buzzing with the electro-house noise we all like.
“The Dog Sound”, the opener, hits the door of the 80s right away. A few more steps – and we’ll be into some Kavinsky (R.I.P.) territory. “Laaser Groove” opens just as we would expect from the track with the name like this; all the marching grooves stay, of course. Finally, “5000HP” is something more modern. Totally in the mood of the whole EP, but not with that all-in-your-face 80s.
