Barcelona based label KAYF is returning with it’s first vinyl-only EP. Produced by Russian talent Artur Nikolaev, new EP promises 3 minimal bombs for collectors. In other words, Nikolaev conveys how less is and can be more in his upcoming 3-tracker.
On A-Side, the release opens up the minimally-inclined strands of ‘Sex Under The Sun’. While taking us on a sensual sojourn building from basic, elementary acid stabs and fractured beats that gradually fire up into a punchy, funked-up dance floor stomper. Thus, evolving slowly, this delicate track is perfect for setting the mood in dance-floor.
On B-Side, the track ‘Break’ showcases Nikolaev’s infectious production style, with complex broken beat patterns licking and stabbing through an uplifting, tropical baseline.
For the second track of B-Side and for our premiere, Nikolaev strikes with ‘Sex Under The Moon’. Similarly to first two tracks, this track is forged from parallel production styles, but is more intimate and increases both in intensity and tension. That being the case, this luscious track portrays a climactic build-up which really hits the spot.
