If you’ve been following us closely, you may have seen Tancido label, run by Rozquit and Lumitecc, both Ukrainian Army members and music producers. Today, we’re spotlighting their new sublabel, Skarb Records (“treasure” in Ukrainian), featuring a split EP from Rozquit and Lisovsky.
Today’s highlight, “Carolina Reaper” by Rozquit, is a track he wrote in the hospital after being wounded in the Donetsk region. It’s a glitchy, squeaky piece that surprises with a calm, minimalistic bassline, perfect for adding some punch in stripped-down sets.
Rozquit’s “Battletoads,” also crafted from the hospital, carries the same minimalistic power but with a bit more punch than the B1. Lisovskyi complements the split beautifully with “Spoiled Glue,” filled with mosquito-like squeaks, while “Double Sided Saw” brings in an enormous, aggressive kick.
This release is coming very soon, so grab your Skarb on Juno, Deejay, Decks, or your favorite record store.
