Premiere: B1 – Liam Sinigoi – Steel’s HC [NON001]

One more emerging label into our collections. This time from the UK – the name is Nonsono Records and the first artist in their roster will be the founder, Liam Sinigoi.

We have a few words about London mornings in their press release, speaking about influences. “Steel’s HC” seems to be a perfect company for them so far. I don’t know how, but I already feel that chill atmosphere at the beginning of the track. And, despite the track being anything but mellow, the mood continues during the track.

Staying on the B-side, “Can’t Dance!” finishes the EP in a style, that matches its name great. A long, broken intro and those vocal samples in the background. Trippy! “Bodkins Breakdown” at the beginning of the record sets the tone for the whole record here —something nearly unpleasant here (nearly!), but catchy and mysterious. And, finally, “Nonsono” takes us on a broken territory. It has the same mood, just different rhythms.

It’s a very complex EP, I would say. It consists of stripped-down bangers — everything we love and adore, right? It is already in the pre-order sections at JunoDeejay, or Decks, so hurry up!
