Today we’re welcoming Ba.Dido from Frankfurt for the first time here. And with DJ Split on remix duties, we’re going straight to Chicago territory – what’s not to like?
Tribal at the front, sexy classic in the back. That’s about the remix of “Get Loose” here. Percussions, that wouldn’t be overlooked in any 90/00s UK tech-house track, but still somehow with the overall feel that we’re in a deep dish pizza county.
And the original one is even more like that. Probably because of the superheavy bassline, but also because of those whispers. “Obsession”, that starts the whole joint, hits from the very first seconds with its acid setup. The vocals only do some additional damage here, just like the claps. And, finally, “Bring It Back” kinda continues the mood of the opener, until it hits you right in the face with its breakbeats.
Altogether, this is a strong EP on Deep in Dis intl., crafted for all Chicago lovers. If you’re one of those, hit the Deejay ASAP.
