With only the last Sunwaves edition between its third and fourth release, white-label, edit-friendly series Creatures strikes back with a new killer issue.
This time is a playful edit of Suzanne Vega’s – Toms Diner is sitting on the A-side ready to make collectors happy, and here at Trommel we are thrilled to premiere the cut in full length.
Already road-tested on different dancefloors, and being first launched during 2018 NYE in Romania, the track’s vocal is a sublime way to break out a set tempo and transmit the crowd a great amount of energy reminiscent of ’90.
The legend wants the artist behind the production heard the song before a gig, while on a taxi to his hotel, and directly mixed a first version of the track once arrived in his room. The reaction once dropped on the same night only confirmed the track potential and, after several plays and different variation, the record can see the light ready to become a timeless piece of music and a good collections item.
On the flip side, the artist behind the release goes through darker soundscapes with an edit of Orbital together with an acapella vocal from an old Danny Tenaglia remix of Datar -B. Acid elements are spread throughout the whole length of the track together with an echoing female vocal that guarantees a trip through space and back.
Already supported by [a:rpia:r] camp, as well as Ricardo Villalobos, the record is out as usual in limited pressing and little to no information about the release itself.
When it comes to edits, Creatures knows its thing!
