Premiere: A1 – Tomoki Tsukamoto – Modern Fla [SHDS002]

Ukrainian label Shades Records brings to us one more beauty from the past. And what is even more important – the UNRELEASED beauty from the past. Today we’re having Tomoki Tsukamoto aka W-Moon, co-founder of Metro Juice Records, with the three unreleased tracks produced in 1999 and one remix by Slow Didi.

“Modern Fla”, which we’re having today, sounds, like it could fit perfectly into any set of the golden era of rominimal, literally, close your eyes, and imagine it in any set of your favorite artist (especially if that set is more than 5 hours long) – slow, steady pace, minimum bullshit, still designed to complement any connoisseur dancefloor.

“Emotional Waves (Slow Didi Remix)” was featured on his 2012 album “Innervoice”, but since you, probably, missed it, I’ll tell you that this is a pacier piece (MUCH pacier), with a balance between minimal and dub techno (which means it could fit any of those sets). “Kaibutsukun”, quite contrary, with its slow and lo-fi vibe (until the second part), is going back to the house room. And, finally, “Tunneling Dub” is a perfect dub outro for this type of record – if you like stuff like that, you won’t be disappointed.

So, the record is out VERY soon, so hit your pre-order sections at Juno, Deejay, or Decks ASAP!
