Afalinas Records are ready with their first VA, after two releases, produced by their owner, Olekhar. And the roster inside that VA is just what you can expect if you see it here.
Starting with the legend. iO (Mulen), in his red-hot streak right now, delivers his stripped-down banger “Bifacial”. How could this be called “stripped-down”? Well, you probably didn’t hear what he has in his pocket for the future. Already classic for him ravey chords in all possible variations, on top of this unbeliavable percussion. The recipe for success!
Then we’re moving to Berlin, to hear “Paste Special” from Tro. Some tinker bells, along with the pace and chill atmosphere altogether. Olekhar comes back for his own label with “Phaseout”, that is closer to Mulen’s one, that Tro’s. Some more variations of ravey chords we’re having here. And finally, Existencia Pasajera with “Plastic Paradise Society”. Something, that could easily be found on 22Recordings, I would say.
Since we’re seeing the “Vol. I” sign, I can assume that this is a perfect start to the series. The records are available for pre-order at Juno, Deejay, Decks, or any other good record store.
