US based artist and label head Miles Ellis returns to his own Limitlessun Recordings and brings with it four tracks primed for the dance floor action. This will present as the label’s eleventh release that has provided a vehicle from which to offer much of Miles’ discography.
We head straight to track 3 – “Make Your Own Lane” and this optimistic houser with an electro streak that runs right through the middle. Block percussion and conga are used in tandem to great effect, but it is when the fluted synth motif is introduced that the energy levels elevate skywards. The room filling bassline is also a main talking point, as the track progresses the rhythmic nature of the track reveals itself.
Track 1 “Power Struggle” is a slightly more restrained direction with the more muted kicks and ominous synths. The heavy hitting drums punch join together with the rock solid bassline to provide some of the hardest moments of the whole release. Next is up of “Dungeon Z” and the trademark low end mix will no doubt sound just as good on a home setup as it will do in a massive festival stage.
Finally, we have the last track on the release “Nytell, The Conqueror” and after a short lead in Miles injects the track with wave after wave of shimmering synth stabs. With much of this EP there is as lot of great progression of the main track ideas and this makes for great dancefloor moments but with a musical slant that is both stripped back but intelligent. Most definitely an artist and label to haver on your watch list.
You can get your hands on the EP from their label Bandcamp page.
