Trommel.251 – Arno

Having been a resident of the world-infamous Robert Johnson club in Offenbach am Main for the last 20 years, Arno has been entrusted with the decks at one of the world’s most influential clubs. This has gone hand in hand with his illustrious career as one of our scene’s most lauded producers. From those early days producing under the name Einzelkind for labels such as Get Physical, Playhouse, and Cocoon, Arno soon began to forge his own path via his own buy-on-sight labels Pressure Traxx, La Peña and Harlo Records.

As well as being an essential club DJ, Arno has also become well known for more downtempo moods and hip hop-influenced grooves. This is exactly where we pick up his extended live recording from Robert Johnson. Dusty keys, low-slung beats, and sultry vocals lead out this special edition of our podcast series. It is not long before rno begins moving up through his gears, and by just before the midway point he has warmed up the room to boiling point. He then begins to apply the soulful pressure and infectious grooves that he is so well known for.
