Having built his profile steadily over the last few years VBX man Ferro has established himself as a star in the making. From his ingenious edits, original solo tracks and collaborations with Reiss as Spokenn, Ferro is right on the money. This laser guided studio talent has been running in tandem with his blossoming touring schedule and Jasper is a regular at the most in demand haunts around the world and in the last month alone has seen him turn out for Half Baked and Shelter, as well as a number of other top events.
It will come as no surprise that the Dutchman would play a major part in Stage 4 at everybody’s favourite minimal marathon – Sunwaves. Taking control of the decks as the Saturday day time vibes segued into the business of the night time session Ferro quickly stamped his authority on the bubbling crowd. From here it was a case of what direction he wished to go as the thronging crowd would easily go with him. So, for our next podcast edition we are extremely lucky to have a live recording of Ferro’s set from Sunwaves 28. Taking in crunchy minimal, world music inspirations, hypnotic grooves and angular melodies a lot of ground is covered in 2.5 hours performance. Enjoy.
