There is little doubt that if you have been to one of Bierut’s many top clubs or large-scale events in the past decade, you will have missed a performance from Nabih Esta, aka Nesta. As an integral part of the Lebanese underground, as you will find, überhaus and The Gärten resident DJ, Nesta, is also the founder of the long-running imprint Fantôme de Nuit.
As well as being a firm fixture in the Middle East, Nesta also plies his trade at many of the top world events, such as Keep On Dancing in Ibiza, Studio Stereo in Barcelona, and is due to star at the upcoming 2025 edition of Sunny Side Festival in Malta.
With his skills behind the decks being a well-told story, we couldn’t wait to add more to Nesta’s growing discography. The next entry is his addition to our Free Download series, “Mr. Hoffman,” and there is a serious focus on the groove. Slick rhythms are key here as are the acid-dipped synths and waning pads. Packing a serious punch in the low end, these lower frequencies are tempered nicely with crisp percussion and just the right amount of vocals.
