“Zepto – the smallest measurement of a unit of sound” – a name picked by the team regarding the driving force of their concept, minimal electronic music.
The crew have forged a habit of throwing parties that weld music and art seamlessly, all you have to do is look at any photo from their events, the attention to detail is palpable. It seems only fitting that, for their next event, they have picked an artist whose very sound could be summarised by the phrase the devil is in the detail. Long-time minimal composer and deejay Doubtingthomas has shown his worth in the studio with a discography stretching back to the very inception of minimal techno and with an equally unwavering track record as a DJ, his recognition and merit need little introduction.
This next event falls on Friday 7th of April 2023 at a never-before-seen warehouse space in Lille, France. This new space will be animated by Iluma who will be performing a live visual set, ensuring that the industrial interior will be dancing alongside you as your ears are rocked by the beats pumping out a Funktion One Soundsystem right til the sun rises.
Zepto residents Vano, Iksma and Ferqli have been forging their sounds across their events, as they blend artistry with the intrinsic nature of dance music, developing a sound that stimulates the mind and body in equal parts. Through tireless work and commitment, they have created a formula for tapping into the senses as they strive to provide a wicked combination of scene, setting and soundtrack that leaves little to the imagination.
With the nouveau warehouse party on the horizon, its pretty clear they are warming up for what is set to be a summer jam-packed with musical gatherings in true Zepto fashion. Come 9th-11th of June 2023 they bring their very own Zepto Festival to Chateau de Bossuit, situated in Belgium, just over the border from Lille and a stone’s throw from the Scheldt River, making for a nice contrast with spring’s warehouse affair. It’s exciting to see what the future holds for Zepto and the unique experiences they will continue to offer. As the Zepto crew prepares for their upcoming events, it’s clear that they are continuing to push the boundaries of what is possible in the minimal electronic music scene.
